Mountain Air in Mango Melody

This gorgeous sunset card was so easy to make using the Pigment Sprinkles in Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody. I brushed a layer of water onto a piece of watercolor cardstock, sprinkled on the Pigments and took more water to it with an Aqua Painter. I let it dry overnight, then stamped the solid side of the mountain range stamp from the Mountain Air set. The set is part of a bundle that you can see in the 2020 Spring Mini catalog on pages 52-53. They are Reversibles and so cool! I die cut the sentiment using the Well Written dies and placed it off to the top left. I chose not to add any other embellishments because the sunset is really the show-stopper here.

Mountain Air in Mango Melody

I don’t break out my Pigment Sprinkles nearly enough, but one look at this card and I think you agree that they are sumthin’ else!

Gingham Easter Lilies

I had to wait to share this until after Easter so that the people receiving them wouldn’t see them ahead of time. Even though Easter is over, you can still make these cards…just change the sentiment to whatever you need. Even though some of these products are from Sale-a-Bration and are no longer available, I know several people that have these items. If you weren’t able to get your hands on them, you can always substitute with products you already have.

Gingham Easter Lilies
I have always loved the look of vellum on cards. So reminiscent of the cards I used to receive as a child from my mother. She knew how much I loved the crinkly sound of it. These cards use the soft, pretty colors from the Gingham Gala 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper Stack (available in the Occasions catalog) as my inspiration. I glued the lilies and sentiment onto the vellum, then placed adhesive onto the back of the vellum on the spots where the lilies and sentiments are. This way, when gluing the vellum layer onto the DSP, no adhesive shows through. I hope everyone liked the colors I chose for them!

Daffodil Delight Sympathy

It’s never enjoyable when you need a sympathy card. And, unfortunately, it’s been very difficult these past couple weeks as I’ve lost one family member and two church family members, along with a friend who also lost a close family member. I’ve had several cards to make, including this one that I made for my mother. She loves yellow and I thought this would bring a little love in her mailbox.

Sunny Days & Lemonade

Let’s take a relaxing break with a cool glass of lemonade. This stamp set is simply darling. I wasn’t sure what colors I wanted, so I thought I’d make 3 cards with the same layout, but different colors and background embossing folders. The Stampin’ Blends are perfect for coloring this image and I couldn’t resist adding the Fine Tip Glue to the pitcher and glass for the shiny effect. I’m thinking the Bermuda Bay card is my favorite and I know exactly who I want to give it to. Which one is your favorite?

Painted Harvest – More Than Sunflowers

I was so excited perusing through the new Holiday Catalog…and immediately fell in love with the gorgeous hand-painted style of the sunflowers in the Painted Harvest set. I simply HAD to have it! Imagine my happiness when I started seeing people posting samples with non-traditional colors!?! I decided to try a combo using bright, fun, summery colors…and I am thrilled with the final outcome!

Painted Harvest Color Palette.jpg
After stamping my flowers, I began to assemble my card. To my surprise, I realized I used colors in which I did not have any matching ribbon. So, I pulled an oldie-but-goodie technique out of the bag and colored the White Bakers Twine with Berry Burst ink! I stamped a flower in both the corner of the envelope and the inside layer. Try not to smile when you look at these flowers!

Jar of Flowers for Mother’s Day

It’s pretty obvious who this card was given to today. My mother is a wonderful woman that is always there for me. I love her tremendously! She bought me the Jar of Love bundle for Christmas last year, so I thought it would be fun to use it for her. Yellow, green and blue are her favorite colors and I threw a splash of pink in there for good measure. It was a little time consuming with all the die cutting, but she is totally worth it!

Delicate Birthday Blossoms

And today’s card is the second one I had my fun group of ladies at church make. This one features the Emboss Resist Technique.  It was more involved, which is why the entire class ended up being about 3 hours. Bless them for putting up with me for that long! I had them emboss the Delicate Details stamps in white and then use sponge daubers to add color. I also had them use the daubers to add a little bit of Peekaboo Peach to the Daffodil Delight flowers on the front. So bright and springy!

Swirly Wink of Thanks

I decided to make my club order thank you cards with the Swirly Bird bundle. It’s my first time of using the stamp set and matching dies. O-M-Goodness! Such an adorable set!  I’ve been making so many Thanksgiving and Christmas cards lately, I wanted something flowery, with spring-y colors. The color combo I went with is perfect and the Wink of Stella on the flowers and leaves give them a lovely, subtle glimmer, too. I think my favorite stamp in the set is that uber cute little Daffodil swirl that I put on the cards and the matching envelopes!

Lovely Little Wreath & Mother’s Day Card

logo

I just absolutely love Paper Pumpkin kits! A surprise in the mailbox each month – never know what it will be, but I’m never disappointed! I knew as soon as I opened the April kit, the wreath was destined to be for my mom. She loves little wreaths and signs for her apartment door and yellow and green are her favorite colors! Perfect!  This kit came with everything I needed to make the wreath, with enough left over for fun embellishments on the matching Mother’s Day card I made for her.  The only extras I added on the wreath are the large pearls. One lonely, little cotton paper flower was left, so I put that on the bottom left corner of the envelope to pull everything together.

Lovely Little Wreath Set

Monthly subscription boxes are all the rage right now. And so cost effective, too! It’s only $20 plus tax (shipping is included)!  You get a fun kit with everything you need to make that month’s project, including a matching ink spot. And, as a subscriber, you can purchase past kits and refills, too!  You can choose between pre-paying for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, or month-to-month billing.  Super fun!

P.S. Don’t tell my mom what I made her yet! She’s getting it on Sunday!
