Thoughtful Trees

I had been debating getting the stamp set Lovely as a Tree.  Debating for years…then my mom got it for me for Christmas and I’m shaking my finger at myself for not having purchased it when it first came out!  It’s perfect for so many situations. This card lets a loved one know you’re thinking about them during any troubling time.

Sneak Peek of the Mini Treat Bag!

OMGoodness! I love this Mini Treat Bag Thinlits collection from Stampin’ Up! It will be available in the upcoming 2015 Occasions Catalog.   The stamp on it is the only non-su item, but that is because I used the world map Typeset DSP and wanted a Christmas stamp with “Joy to the World” on it. I foresee me making lots of treat bags with this set of dies!

Nothing Basic About This Butterfly!

I am loving all my fun new products from the upcoming Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure!  Here’s another sneak peek for you.  This evening I decided to break in one of the butterfly dies.  It’s from a collection of 3 dies and the one I used on this card is the middle one.  The card is one of our handy notecards – precut and scored and a matching envelope! Using the see-through photopolymer stamps makes it a cinch to see where I’m stamping each image. Sometimes I like to give my nature cards a more earthy appeal by roughing the edges with the Stampin’ Distress Tool.  I really like the effect on this one.  The stamp set “Butterfly Basics” and matching dies “Butterflies Thinlits Dies” are available as a bundle – which saves you 15%!  Love Love Love!  Start saving now for January when you can order these yourself!

ButterflyStamps:  Butterfly Basics
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral
Lovelies:  Butterflies Die, Gold Bakers Twine, Stampin’ Distress Tool

So what do you think?  Happy Stamping!

Sneak Peek – Lotus Blossom

Here is a sneak peek of one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that will be available in January 2015.  This set is called Lotus Blossom. It is a 3-step stampin’ set. It is absolutely easy-peasy with the new photopolymer material. The stamps are see-through, so no Stamp-a-ma-jig is necessary!

Lotus Blossom
Hunter helped me design this card. The first layer of the blossom is stamped in Marina Mist.  The second layer is Pool Party and the third is Soft Sky.  The stem is stamped in Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizzazz.  She suggested punching the flower out with the 2″ Circle punch, then punching the Pear Pizzazz layer with the 2 1/2″ Circle punch so the Soft Sky card base would show through. We then popped the stamped circle up on dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped in Marina Mist and punched out with the Curly Label punch. An extra punch of Soft Sky to layer the sentiment on helps give it definition.  There was too much plain Pear Pizzazz space…then Hunter suggested we cut a doily for the corners. It gave it the softness it needed without detracting from the blossom.

I am in love with this set! It literally took us less than 15 minutes to make this card from start to finish.  This set can be yours for FREE during Sale-A-Bration, beginning January 6th, with a purchase of $50 in products!  Let me know if you’d like to book a Stampin’ Up party during Sale-A-Bration – there’s lots of goodies to be earned!

Happy Stamping!

Geared Up for the new Occasions Catalog & Sale-a-Bration!

I am so excited to have gotten One Tag Fits All at the Stampin’ Up Occasions catalog kick-off 🙂 I ordered the matching punch with my pre-order, which is set to arrive on Thursday. I couldn’t wait, though, so I figured I’d use the Tag Topper Scallop Punch. I used Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, and Crushed Curry cardstock and markers. I also used Confetti Celebration DSP, Hearts Border Punch, and Pistachio Pudding Thick Bakers Twine. I see great potential with this new set!
