I was debating on posting my Easter cards this year as I chose to use several non-Stampin’ Up products. I’m really pleased with the outcome, though, so I’m going to share:
Stamps: Jesus is Risen (Stampendous), Crown of Thorns (DeNami Design)
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, So Saffron, Kraft, Very Vanilla
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, So Saffron
Lovelies: Ovals Framelits, Blessings & Cross (Frantic Stamper), Sunshine Rays Spritz Mask (Hooray It’s Your Day card kit), Pearls Basic Jewels
Tools: Big Shot, Precision Base Plate, Magnetic Platform, Simply Scored Scoring Tool
I hope everyone has a very Blessed Easter! Jesus is the Reason for the Season!
Have you been on the fence, wondering about Stampin’ Up!’s subscription box, My Paper Pumpkin? Let me tell you…it is so fun! Getting a box each month with an exclusive stamp set and all the trimmings to make cards or other project ideas. I squealed with delight when I received the March Paper Pumpkin box called “Hello Sunshine”. This kit makes 9 cards with lots of embellishments left over! My friend’s Birthday is coming up and I wanted to make her a little set of cards that she can send on to others. The colors and patterns in this kit match beautifully with the Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper called Wildflower Fields. Sale-a-Bration goes away at the end of this month, so if you simply MUST have something…get your order in quick! I used the Envelope Punch Board to make the box to keep the cards in. I found measurements on Pinterest. Cut your paper to 9” x 9”. Score and punch at 3 ½” and 4 ½” on the first side. Then, turn and line up the score lines and punch and score again on the remaining 3 sides. Use a 12” x 1” strip of left over DSP to make the belly band. Super easy!

My super fun group The emBOSSing Queens met for our stamping club this evening. I was so excited to share the gorgeousness of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush with them – it is beyond description! I have been seeing a lot of cards with this layout, so please don’t think I’m taking credit for it. My Pinterest board gives it away! This card has the stamp embossed in gold on watercolor paper, then I used the Aqua Painter medium brush to watercolor in Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive. After those colors were dry, I went over it with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. I just love all the sentiments available in the Rose Wonder photopolymer stamp set, too. If there’s only one stamp set in the Occasions catalog that you can afford to buy, definitely make it this one! Be sure to stamp your photopolymer stamps on a Stampin’ Pierce Mat. That will give it the extra cushion that photopolymer stamps don’t have (if you look at clear mount stamps and wood mount stamps, you’ll notice there’s a foam pad). What you’ll get is a nice, crisp image. We end the evening with a matching envelope with the leaf outline on it. It’s a nice touch that brings it all together.
