I wanted to make a sweet card for my sweet Hunter. Everything “mini” is automatically cuter, so I chose Whisper White Notecards, which are 5″ x 3.5″. I knew I wanted to use the brand new set Lovely Amazing You. Stampin’ Up! just released this photopolymer set and it’s a huge hit – better get it while supplies last! I also took advantage of a couple Sale-A-Bration items on this card. Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper is perfectly happy as both the background of the card as well as the envelope liner. Best Year Ever Accessory Pack comes with both 3 colors of ribbon as well as 2 sizes of 3 colors each for the buttons. The Calypso Coral button adds a great splash of color. Punches make this card super easy and fun!

My daughter, Sydney, is a Senior in High School. Just like a typical teen, she stays up pretty late at night and doesn’t get a decent amount of sleep. Hence, her vocabulary in the morning involves a lot of noises that may or may not be actual English words. Her friend works at a coffee shop across the street from the school, so Syd gets a pretty steady stream of caffeine. When I first saw Stampin’ Up!’s stamp set Perfect Blend, I instantly thought of Syd. Problem was, though, I didn’t like the 2 sentiments it came with. I did some internet searching and found the PERFECT sayings to go with this cup! Both are from Art Impressions – the “blah blah blah” stamp on the outside and the inside…drumroll, please! “NEVER underestimate the power of being properly caffeinated.” LOVE LOVE LOVE! This card will be slipped into Sydney’s school bag tomorrow (cause I’m sneaky like that!)

I just can’t get enough of the gorgeous Butterflies Thinlits…they are so beautiful and the medium sized one is my absolute favorite! They coordinate beautifully with the Butterfly Basics stamp set. They are available for a limited time in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog – as a bundle! Save 15% when you buy both! Love Love Love saving money…to buy MORE stamping stuff! I die cut the medium sized butterfly twice – once in Naturals White and once in Rose Red and layered them for added dimension. When I stamped the fern, I inked it up once, then stamped it 3 times for varying degrees of color. I colored the rhinestones with the medium Wild Wasabi blendabilities marker. I love the way this turned out!

Happy 15th Birthday to Hunter! She decided to participate in the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week – Color Challenge PPA239:
She wanted to do a vintage cards, so she broke in a stamp set I hadn’t used yet – Just a Note Vintage Sentiment Tags from Just Rite Clear Stamps. She did a lot of sponging to get that old-time vintage feel. She also liked the Cherry Cobbler on it and used Blendabilities to color some pearls. Nice 🙂
Stamp Sets: Just a Note Vintage Sentiment Tags, SU Four Frames
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Typeset DSP
Ink: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Real Red
Lovelies: Antique Brad, Pearls, Decorative Label Punch, Crumb Cake & Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities
Today we are snowed it, so it’s been a fun stamping day for Hunter and me. I wanted something bright and happy to send out to my group of 7 ladies around the U.S. that I swap cards with each month and it’s the perfect time to sit down and make a stack of cards. I knew I wanted Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow, but I just couldn’t figure out what third color to use.
Hunter came up with a super fun color combo that really allows the colors to pop. I told her we need to post color inspiration for people, so we came up with the name “Hunter’s Hues”. Let us know what you think!

I can’t say enough about how much I am in love with the Hooray It’s Your Day card kit and stamp set! They are so much fun and it’s the first time I’ve used the Stampin’ Spritzers (2 come in the kit). Totally hooked on spritzing now! It also comes with two stencils that are a nice quality plastic. They can be reused indefinitely! Here’s a Birthday card I made for my friend’s daughter:
The kit makes 5 each of 4 different designs. This is one of them. Here are the rest of them:

A coworker of mine is located in another building. We’ve never met, but she commissions cards from me on a regular basis. Come to think of it, we’ve never even spoken on the phone! Only through messages. Some day I’ll have to meet her. In the meantime, I’ll keep making cards for her. This latest one is for the parents of a new baby girl. She wanted Valentine colors and something cute. She was very specific on what she wanted it to say, so I used the font “guess what” and typed it up on my computer. Here’s my creation for her:
