Brusho Flying Home Birdie Delight

Here’s another card with a Brusho Crystal Colours background. I am in love with this amazing powder! I decided to break out another new set and ink it up. The Flying Home set just begs to be colored with the Stampin’ Blends. I added some Wink of Stella for a pretty shimmer (see the close up below) and some random Metallic Enamel Shapes. Perfect color combination to help usher in Spring!

Bright Wishes with a Touch of Nature

There are some stamp sets that look too difficult for me to work with. The Bright Wishes stamp set from the Annual Catalog was one. Until Hunter picked it out…and I decided to give it a go with the Stampin’ Blends. It was so enjoyable and relaxing coloring it in and I love the soft colors. I am so glad Hunter is always ready to pick a set that takes me out of my comfort zone. She’s an awesome enabler, too 🙂

Flirty Peekaboo Peacock

I am so in love with Brusho Crystal Colours – they are so vibrant! I used Red and Yellow to make this gorgeous background. To work with the Brusho powder, I taped the watercolor paper down using Washi Tape onto a piece of cardboard. It helps to keep it from curling too much from all the water and when it’s all dry and you remove the Washi tape, it makes a beautiful border. Using the Aqua Painter, I covered the entire piece in plain water. Then I sprinkled on the Brusho powders and spritzed water on to move it around a bit. I love the embossed silver on it, too. For the peacock’s tail, I used sponge daubers to put Peekaboo Peach on the bottom and Flirty Flamingo on the top, being careful to blend slightly for continuous color. After I added the body in Melon Mambo, I fussy cut the peacock out to pop it up with Dimensionals. This color combo is awesome together!

Lots of Fizzy Love

Are these boxes not adorable? They were a breeze to put together using the Lots to Love Box Framelits dies on page 19 of the 2018 Occasions catalog.  The sentiment on the banner is from the coordinating stamp set Sure Do Love You. Both of them are part of the Painted With Love suite on pages 18 and 19 and can be purchased as a bundle together to save you 10%, too! I decided to use the fun Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-Bration brochure. It’s free with a minimum purchase of $50.00. The double bow gives it a whimsical feel. I need to use that Bow Builder Punch a lot more!

Eclectic Wisteria Twist

The more I use Lemon Lime Twist, the more I love it…and it is so pretty paired with the soft Wisteria Wonder. This card features Designer Series Paper from the first Sale-a-Bration brochure, which is currently available.  The stamp set is from the Sale-a-Bration second release, which will be available for you to earn from February 16 – March 31. It is such a versatile set with all the background pieces. Definitely a must-have!

Southern Blends

These cards feature a stamp set in the new Occasions catalog that I think is easily overlooked. It’s on page 49; opposite of the Waterfront set, which is getting a lot of (rightly deserved) attention.  I bought the set knowing that I wanted to use the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol markers. I also popped on a few of the Glitter Epoxy Shapes. I thought the iridescence of them would help to highlight the Clear Wink of Stella shimmer that I added to the flowers. It’s so hard to get that shimmer to show up in the photo. You’ll just have to take my word for it. The yellow one is my favorite. Which is yours?

Embossed Picture Perfect Candles

The Picture Perfect Party suite on pages 4 and 5 of the Occasions catalog is so colorful and happy! This suite sure was named appropriately – the Designer Series Paper stack features double sided 6” x 6” paper with photographic images on one side! I loved the candles and wanted to preserve how long they were. I also wanted to use the “Happy” embossing folder from the Celebrations Duo. The bright colors coordinate perfectly and the Tutti Frutti sequins from the Tutti Frutti Suite on pages 28 and 29 have 3 colors that are also in the Picture Perfect Party suite! One card uses a Berry Burst sequin and one uses Pool Party. I think I’m liking the Pool Party one a little more. Which one do you like better?

Epic Rainbow of Sneakers

Today I got my hands on the Stampin’ Blends…and couldn’t wait to give them a try. Definitely a learning curve, but one I’m willing to take the time to master! Below is an assortment of adorable 3” x 3” cards.  I used standard Whisper White for the stamped piece, but decided to use the Thick Whisper White for the card base. It really makes a difference.  I wanted to give several Blends colors a try and thought the sneakers would be fun for my club member thank you cards (I like to give a thank you to each of them with every order). I feel like Epic Celebrations isn’t getting the recognition it deserves…it’s a darling set and I can’t wait to make a card with the headphones and guitar! Lovely Amazing Valentine Fancy Fold

I was trying to find a fun way to showcase the Lovely Words Thinlits and found this post by Connie Stewart: https://simplysimplestamping.com/fancy-folds-blog-hop-cherry-sundae-box-card/  Her fancy fold is awesome and I was super excited to give it a try with my stamp club. So, here’s my version of a fun Valentine! You can see the Sparkle Embossing Folder detail even better on the top view. And the icing on the cake? It lays flat to fit into a standard size medium envelope!
