Gingham Easter Lilies

I had to wait to share this until after Easter so that the people receiving them wouldn’t see them ahead of time. Even though Easter is over, you can still make these cards…just change the sentiment to whatever you need. Even though some of these products are from Sale-a-Bration and are no longer available, I know several people that have these items. If you weren’t able to get your hands on them, you can always substitute with products you already have.

Gingham Easter Lilies
I have always loved the look of vellum on cards. So reminiscent of the cards I used to receive as a child from my mother. She knew how much I loved the crinkly sound of it. These cards use the soft, pretty colors from the Gingham Gala 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper Stack (available in the Occasions catalog) as my inspiration. I glued the lilies and sentiment onto the vellum, then placed adhesive onto the back of the vellum on the spots where the lilies and sentiments are. This way, when gluing the vellum layer onto the DSP, no adhesive shows through. I hope everyone liked the colors I chose for them!

Wishing You Merlot Glimmer Greetings

The stamp set used on today’s card is called Wishing You Well. It’s hidden on page 35 of the Holiday catalog. I say “hidden” because it’s one of those sets that I skimmed right past without really looking at it. Most likely because of the quiet tones used in the sample. But, as it usually goes with me, I started seeing such pretty cards online. The more ideas I saw, the more I wanted it. And so it goes…

Wishing You Well is part of Stampin’ Up!’s line of Distinktive Stamps. These stamps create different opacities in a single stamped image for realistic depth and intensity. This really shines through with the organza style bow. Simply beautiful and so easy to achieve! Another nice feature of this stamp set is that it can be used all year round – the sprig can be stamped in Crushed Curry to resemble wheat or it can be stamped in any shade of green and bright flowers can be added. So many possibilities with this one beautiful set!
Wishing You WellI decided to go bold with this card and I must say I am absolutely smitten with the gorgeous, deep tones of the Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper. It brings such a richness to any project. The Joyous Noel Suite can be found on pages 28-29. I initially ordered just the glimmer paper from this suite, but since then have also ordered the coordinating Specialty Designer Series Paper, Merry Merlot & Copper Ribbon, and the Sprig Punch. Can’t wait to get those in my hands! But, since I don’t have those products yet, I decided to use the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper, which is part of the suite on pages 12-13.
Wishing You Merlot Glimmer Greetings
I also chose to use the Metallic Pearls as the perfect details for the wreath. They are tiny, but easy to add to the project with our Take Your Pick tool using the spatula option.
Take Your Pick ToolThis is such a quick and easy card – no Big Shot necessary, as the bow is fussy-cut by hand the circle is a punch. Now you have no excuses not to send out hand-made-with-love cards this season. I hope you’ve had a chance to look through the Holiday catalog and get some of the products into your hands – Christmas will be here in 53 days!

Grandma’s Galvanized Country Home

My stamp club met last night. I knew I wanted to share my love of the Country Home suite with them, so this is the card I had them make. I had not used the Galvanized Metallic Paper prior to making this card…and WOW! I wish I had opened the package sooner! It is absolutely gorgeous! Using the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder is awesome, too. It reminds me of an old-fashioned kitchen backsplash you’d see in Grandma’s farm house!

Gorgeous Soft Vase Blooming with Happiness

I just couldn’t resist! I have been wanting to put new colors Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather together…and I am not disappointed by the result! They were made for each other! And the lovely, quiet shade of the new Soft Sea Foam is beautiful with the tried-and-true Old Olive. This card features the stamp set Varied Vases, which will be available on June 1st. It also has a coordinating punch, but I’m saving that one for the next card. The stamp set and punch will be available as a bundle to save you 10%, too. It is such an easy set to work with. It is photopolymer, which means the stamps are clear. You can see right where you are layering everything…easy peasy!

Share What You Love – Showcasing Beautiful Day

I am excited to share another card showcasing the beautiful Designer Series Paper in the early release of the Share What You Love Suite along with a fun sentiment from the coordinating stamp set, Love What You Do. For more details on the bundles available now, see my previous post here.

I have taken this photo at a bit of an angle towards the window to try and capture the pearlized touches on the flowers. Squint and you can see it! I also used the silver flower embellishment that is available exclusively in the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit. It is so pretty!

Berry Beautiful Watercolor Birthday

I really tried resisting the purchase of the Beautiful Day stamp set. I mean, how many flower stamps do I really need? And then the samples started popping up…everywhere! Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest…and you know how that goes. Yes. I bought it. Yes. I love it! This card features the image embossed in silver on Shimmery White cardstock and watercolored using ink and an Aqua Painter. So easy and so beautiful – this stamp set was definitely named appropriately!

Fortunate Break To Go

I’ve been so focused on all the fun new products in the 2018 Occasions catalog that I feel like I’m neglecting all the awesome products I have from the 2017-2018 Annual catalog. I’ve had this adorable set for a while but hadn’t inked it up yet. I thought it would be fun to color it with the Stampin’ Blends…and it was! The Wink of Stella on the heart on the take-out box gives it the perfect touch of dazzle and the little enamel heart is too cute!

Simple Touch of Sympathy

Unfortunately, there are times in our lives that we need to make sympathy cards. I prefer floral cards with a small spot of color. I enjoy sponging color onto the wooden Touches of Nature Elements. Just make sure you protect your table. Use a scrap of paper and sponge onto the wooden piece while it’s laying on it. If you try to hold it while sponging, the ink will not cover it completely. This card also uses a couple retired products, but you can always substitute similar ribbon and Designer Series Paper.

Perfect Plum Painted Harvest

I can’t get enough of this Painted Harvest stamp set! It is so beyond versatile and I really like using them as my own “Designer Series Paper” for backgrounds. Since the last card I made using this set was super bright, I thought I’d tone it down a little and focus on purples. So happy with this!

Stamp and Ink Free Petal Garden, Part 6

Welcome to Part 6 of my Petal Garden cards.

Today we wrap up this stamp and ink free series with a big, bold rose from the Memories & More Card Pack. It’s a die cut sticker adhered to Pool Party Cardstock, which was die cut with the Layering Circles Framelits and a Calypso Coral scalloped circle from the same die set. I wanted a little bow, but didn’t want to wrap the Pool Party Solid Baker’s Twine around the whole card front. So, I made a quick quadruple looped bow and adhered it with a glue dot.

Petal Garden 6

I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at these cards as much as I enjoyed creating them!
