Lily Impressions with Thoughtful Blooms

I wanted to showcase just how versatile the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper is. In yesterday’s blog post, Lily Impressions with Retiring Colors, I used the flower side. In today’s cards, I chose to use one of the opposite sides that uses variegated Grapefruit Grove. Simply gorgeous. Here’s a look at the paper:

I matched it with Call Me Clover, which is also a retiring In Color, and Night of Navy from the Neutrals collection. The Thoughtful Blooms stamp set is a Sale-a-Bration exclusive and is so easy to use since it is photopolymer (clear). The sentiments are from Family Party and has so many mix-n-match choices that it’s easy to make a card for a special someone. Everything is glued together and the flowers punched out with the Small Bloom Punch (Sale-a-Bration exclusive) are popped up using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. A Grapefruit Grove colored Enamel Dot is added to the flower center. This card is super bright, super sweet, and easy to put together.

Lily Impressions with Retiring Colors

I will be the first to admit that I have not utilized the 2018-2020 In Colors quite as much the past few months. It was nice pulling out Grapefruit Grove (which I love immensely) and Lovely Lipstick (shocking pinkness) to use as layering colors for these cards. They pop beautifully against the Blackberry Bliss card bases and coordinate perfectly with the absolutely stunning Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper.

I used a new punch called Label Me Lovely to accent the die cut circle with the sweet sentiment from Power of Hope. Both the Lily Impressions DSP and the Power of Hope stamp set are part of the 2020 Sale-a-Bration promotion and cannot be purchased…but you can earn them FREE while supplies last. The finale are the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots on each side of the sentiment. All products (not just the ones used here) using 2018-2020 In Colors will be retiring on June 1^st, but if these are like any of the past colors, they will sell out before then, so don’t wait. Gingham Easter Lilies

I had to wait to share this until after Easter so that the people receiving them wouldn’t see them ahead of time. Even though Easter is over, you can still make these cards…just change the sentiment to whatever you need. Even though some of these products are from Sale-a-Bration and are no longer available, I know several people that have these items. If you weren’t able to get your hands on them, you can always substitute with products you already have.

I have always loved the look of vellum on cards. So reminiscent of the cards I used to receive as a child from my mother. She knew how much I loved the crinkly sound of it. These cards use the soft, pretty colors from the Gingham Gala 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper Stack (available in the Occasions catalog) as my inspiration. I glued the lilies and sentiment onto the vellum, then placed adhesive onto the back of the vellum on the spots where the lilies and sentiments are. This way, when gluing the vellum layer onto the DSP, no adhesive shows through. I hope everyone liked the colors I chose for them!

Extreme Holographic Shiny Paper

Let me preface this by telling you, if you didn’t already know, that I am all about anything holographic. Well, let’s talk about these Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheets.  Holy Holosexual! They are beyond extreme when they are run through the Big Shot with an embossing folder! I thought yesterday’s card with Lovely Lipstick was beautiful (you can see that card here)…well, this makes me squeal!

Grapefruit Smiles

The sharpness of the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper (what a mouthful!) is simply stunning. I love that all the sheets are Whisper White on one side and Very Vanilla on the other. And, as long as you use a light hand, you can sponge or spritz any color you like on it. I decided to keep this one classy and clean with tone-on-tone layering of the delicious 2018-2020 In Color, Grapefruit Grove. The faux bow using coordinating 1/8” Grosgrain Ribbon is the perfect subtle embellishment beside the oval sentiment which is layered onto a scalloped oval in Grapefruit Grove. I popped up the sentiment with Dimensionals and also popped up the full base layer with Dimensionals onto the card base. I am in love with this paper, stamp set and color!

Celebration of Colors

Another catalog year is winding down and I’m torn between using my retiring products and breaking out the new. This card combines them both, so I don’t have to choose! The new 2018-2020 In Colors are absolutely scrumptious and the Pineapple Punch gives this card the perfect pop! The embossing folder DEbosses, so the sentiment is impressed down. This allows ink around the word, which is such a fun element.

Pearlized Lucky Friend Card

Today’s card showcases both the pearlized accents in the Designer Series Paper along with the coordinating Pearlized Doilies in the early release of the Share What You Love Suite. It also uses a new 2018-2020 In Color called Grapefruit Grove. Delicious! For more details on the bundles available now, see my previous post here.

This first photo shows the complete card.  I’ve also used a label from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit, so all the die cutting was done for me – no extra tools needed!

This photo is at an angle so you can see just how much of the pearlized accent is in this luscious paper and the doily. You can also catch a glimpse of the sparkle in the ribbon. It is one of my favorite ribbons of all time!
