Focus on Pretty Peacock

I adore all the new 2019-2021 In Colors, but Pretty Peacock is definitely my favorite. Here’s a quick and easy card focusing on that gorgeous, regal color. The script side of the double sided Designer Series Paper flows perfectly with the lovely font of the sentiment from the Floral Essence stamp set. The Scalloped Linen Ribbon adds just the right amount of texture and the Faceted Dots give a sprinkle of sparkle. A naturally charming card!

Woven Heirlooms Sneak Peek

To say I’m in love with the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper is an understatement. This color combination conjures up fond memories of my grandparents. As a teen, I would spend almost every weekend at their house. If you walked into my Grandfather’s bedroom or bathroom, you would be surrounded in shades of Seaside Spray. If you walked into my Grandmother’s, you would be immersed in shades of Rococo Rose. These two new 2019-2021 In Colors evoke so much nostalgia, you’ll probably be seeing a lot more of them in upcoming samples. Scroll down to see all five of the new In Colors. I stamped the sentiment from the Woven Heirlooms stamp set in Terracotta Tile. I used 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots for a little sparkle. The pièce de résistance is the exquisite Seaside Spray Scalloped Linen Ribbon. All of these lovely items will be available to purchase when the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog goes live on June 4^th. Mark your calendars for the evening of Monday, June 17^th if you’d like to see this card in person!

Celebrate Springtime Butterfly with Brusho

Oh how I wish I could photograph properly – the red on this card is positively VIBRANT! With this one, I used watercolor paper and brushed on a layer of water using my Aqua Painter. Then I sprinkled on the Brusho Crystal Colours in Red and brushed the entire piece with even more water. Pure color saturation! The butterfly is from a new set called Springtime Impressions Thinlits. Using the Precision Base Plate with the Big Shot produces perfect cutting every time. I popped it up using the Mini Dimensionals and the “Celebrate” sentiment, which is glued down with Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive, is in the Celebrate You Thinlits set. Black Faceted Dots give it that little hint of bling.  Mounted on a Thick Whisper White card base so it can handle the weight of the watercolor paper. Simply striking! You simply must see it in person! Come to my Catalog Kick-Off Party on June 23^rd!

Amazing Dragonflies and Brusho

If you know me, then you know just how much I adore dragonflies. When Stampin’ Up introduced their Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and coordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits in the 2017 Occasions catalog, I was in heaven! I am so pleased they carried over and are still current. Today’s card features a beautiful Brusho Crystal Colours background and slight hints of sparkle with the new Faceted Dots in black. The “amazing” die from the Celebrate You Thinlits is the perfect font. The dragonflies are popped up using Mini Dimensionals, which are a perfect fit. I mounted the watercolor paper onto a Thick Whisper White card base for extra stability. It’s so much more vibrant in real life…guess you’ll just have to come to my Catalog Kick-Off Party on June 23rd to see it in person!
