Hidden Gem Suite Sampler

There is a hidden gem in the January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. It’s the Host set tucked away on page 88 and it features images that coordinate and compliment some of the other sets in the catalog and Sale-a-Bration brochure. Sale-a-Bration is over now, so it’s the perfect time for you to use those wonderful products you earned for free…like the Flower & Field DSP that coordinates beautifully with the flower I used in the stamp set. I used a fun fold to really highlight the bold paper.

I used sponge daubers to add the yellow shades for the flowers and added the greens to the stems and leaves with Stampin’ Write Markers.  I pulled together some punches and dies and brightened it up with some retired Noble Peacock Rhinestones. As you can tell from the sentiments I used, I owed someone a Birthday card. Actually, I owed a LOT of people belated Birthday wishes. This was just the beginning…

Tropical Escape Bundle

I just can’t get enough of the bright, delicious colors in the Tropical Escape Suite:

I decided to go with the same layout as the two Catalog Kick-Off Party cards I showed earlier. You can see those here. Instead of the circle and starburst, I opted to give the Tailored Tag Punch a try and I added a snippet of Granny Apple Green ribbon. Super cute!

Tailored Fresh Pears

Today I’m sharing with you the thank you cards for my Birthday gifts. It’s been awhile since I pulled out the Envelope Punch Board and I sure have missed it! It’s so fun making envelopes to match your cards. Here’s a set of 6 cards with envelopes that only use 2 sheets of cardstock and 2 sheets of Designer Series Paper (DSP), along with some scraps of neutral. The card bases are cut 3” x 8” and scored at 4”. This adorable size requires a 6” square piece of DSP to make an envelope. So, we’re using one full piece and half of the second for the envelopes. That leaves half a sheet to cut front layers. These cards feature some retired products, but I just love pears (especially Anjou!) and wanted to use the lovely Fruit Stand DSP.

Tranquil Tailored Gentleman

The True Gentleman suite on pages 44 and 45 in the Occasions catalog is an absolutely perfect collection to make dashing masculine cards. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. The richness of the Tranquil Tide with Night of Navy is elegant and smart. The punch makes multiples a snap and the buttons bring it all together. I have made several already and I am just getting started! These cards feature lines I scored using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to add a little extra to the Tranquil Tide Strip. I used Fast Fuse to glue it down due to the added dimension of the button. And the final perfect little detail is adding glue with the Fine Tip Glue Pen to the lenses of the glasses to make them shine like glass. I’ve included a close up photo for you. I am entering this in the Watercooler Wednesday WWC153 – Gail’s Masculine “Anything Goes” challenge. Since it’s a suite that’s new to me, I’m also adding it to the Just Add Ink challenge, too!
