Birthday Celebration of New In Colors

Oh how fun it is to get new stamping goodies and just CREATE! I am in love with the new 2024-2026 In Colors…they take me on a trip back in time to Junior High School and all the vibrant clothes and accessories I had! Today’s card is a celebration of those times back in the 80s – focusing on 3 new colors…Petunia Pop, Pretty in Pink and Summer Splash. I used a new 3D embossing folder, too, along with a new stamp set and coordinating die that are part of a larger suite called Unbounded Beauty, and finished it with some new ribbon. Just looking at this makes me smile! Which new In Color is your favorite? I know ALL of them are my favorite!

Enduring Beauty Bundle in Bold Pinks

I told you I am in love with the Enduring Beauty Bundle on pages 38-39 of the January – April 2024 mini catalog! This red beauty uses Melon Mambo and Sweet Sorbet for the flowers along with the same Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green used in the purple cards yesterday. I blended the pinks a little more this time. It’s very bold and I am loving it! More Wink of Stella on the flowers, too!

Enduring Beauty Bundle in Purples

I am in love with the Enduring Beauty Bundle on pages 38-39 of the January – April 2024 mini catalog. It consists of the stamp set, coordinating dies and decorative masks. What a fun and beautiful alternative option to using Stampin’ Blends markers or any other number of coloring options. The Masks are numbered 1 through 5, but you don’t have to use them in that order. I used the two flower masks first – #1 with base color Highland Heather and #3 with the accents in Gorgeous Grape. Then I used the two leaf masks – #2 with Lemon Lime Twist and #4 with the accents in Granny Apple Green. I opted to not use mask #5 since that is for the pistil and the stamping in black was deep enough. I’ll definitely use it, though, when I create the flowers without stamping the outline in black. Topping all the flowers with Wink of Stella was a must! I chose to make 3 cards in the purple shades – which layout is your favorite? I’m partial to the second picture – with the layer of Gorgeous Grape. You will definitely be seeing more of this bundle in the future!

Rock Star Guitar

Apologies for not posting the past couple months…busy busy busy~then surgery in December. I’m healing nicely and ready to get back to regular card making and blog posting. Today’s card was made using the Rock n Roll Suite on pages 54-55 of the January to April 2024 Mini Catalog. I thought it was super fun to use vellum for the large guitar pick background. I knew I wanted to keep it black and white with one pop of color…couldn’t decide between Azure Afternoon or Tahitian Tide. Both would be equally bold, but Hunter decided on Azure Afternoon for me. Hexagons and Gardens Easy Fun Fold

The newest Online Exclusive bundle – Heartfelt Hexagon – coordinates adorably with the Garden Walk 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper in the mini catalog. This easy fun fold, of which I have no idea of the name, shows off two sides of the paper adorably. This fun fold is so simple – just take a card base that is 11″ x 4 1/4″, fold it in half, cut 2 3/4″ off one end and turn it horizontally. No extra cardstock at all for this fun fold!

Rustic Crate from the New Catalog

You know I love all things Autumn so I had to have the Rustic Crate bundle (page 46). This card combines elements from all around – Speckled Dots from the Mini, Let’s Go Fishing DSP, In Color Luster Paper and Basic Twine from the Annual Catalog and Radiating Stitches Dies, which is an Online Exclusive. I used Memento Tuxedo Black for the pumpkins, corn and sunflowers and used Stampin’ Blends to color them in. Topped everything off with the simple Twine bow and the lovely Speckled Dots.

Feel Better Soon Q & E

Today’s card is a Q & E (quick and easy)…only stamped part is a sentiment on the inside. I wasn’t totally sold on the Masterfully Made 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper at first, but I decided to grab it when it was on sale last month…and I am so glad I did! I’ve been going through it faster than any other DSP I’ve purchased from the current catalog. I die cut “Feel Better Soon” from Berry Burst and glued it onto the bordering background die cut in Basic White and popped it up on Dimensionals. I glued the DSP onto the Garden Green panel and then popped that up on Dimensionals, too. I decided Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems would give just the right amount of sparkle without taking away from the gorgeous flowers. Quite a cheery card for someone feeling a little down.

Today’s card is a Double Gate Fold that showcases the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper. The minute I saw this suite in the Annual Catalog on pages 70-71, I was in love! The rich colors, all the textures, the sweet sentiments…they all sang to me in euphony. The fancy fold is super fun…just google “Double Gate Fold” and you’ll find dozens of written instructions and videos. I am so pleased with this card!
