Gingham Easter Lilies

I had to wait to share this until after Easter so that the people receiving them wouldn’t see them ahead of time. Even though Easter is over, you can still make these cards…just change the sentiment to whatever you need. Even though some of these products are from Sale-a-Bration and are no longer available, I know several people that have these items. If you weren’t able to get your hands on them, you can always substitute with products you already have.

I have always loved the look of vellum on cards. So reminiscent of the cards I used to receive as a child from my mother. She knew how much I loved the crinkly sound of it. These cards use the soft, pretty colors from the Gingham Gala 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper Stack (available in the Occasions catalog) as my inspiration. I glued the lilies and sentiment onto the vellum, then placed adhesive onto the back of the vellum on the spots where the lilies and sentiments are. This way, when gluing the vellum layer onto the DSP, no adhesive shows through. I hope everyone liked the colors I chose for them!

Garden Impressions Day 3

Are you in love with the Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Stack yet? The card I’m sharing for Day 3 uses all the same products as yesterday’s card, but with Pacific Point cardstock in place of Soft Sea Foam. I am in love with the font on all the sentiments in the Enjoy Life stamp set and this particular one is simply beautiful.

Garden Impressions Day 2

Today’s card shows off the sweet side of the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper Stack. The pinks and oranges are positively lovely with the Soft Sea Foam background and pop of boldness with the Shaded Spruce leaves. The font of the sentiment from the Enjoy Life stamp set is flawless with the roses and fits perfectly in the die cut from the Stitched Labels Framelits. Shaded Spruce has easily become my favorite new Core Color shade of green.

Garden Impressions Day 1

While the month of July is Stampin’ Up!’s buy 3 get 1 free promotion for select Designer Series Paper, I thought it would be the perfect time to show some cards that focus on the bold, bright punch of color in the Garden Impressions stack. I’ll share more in the coming days.

This card makes me smile just looking at it, as it takes me back to my Junior High School days. Back then, I loved to sew and make my own clothes. With the joys of Pinterest, I was actually able to find the exact Butterick pattern that I had. And, with it being the 80’s, you know it was all about mixing and matching bold, bright gorgeous colors just like the ones featured in this card. Thanks for taking a walk down memory lane with me!
