Cool Treats Birthday Frenzy

I am continuing on with my #cutitdonthoardit pledge with another card using the gorgeous Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper. This time, I made several Birthday cards to send out, continuing with another pledge that #imbringingbirthdaysback! The only ink on the front is the ice cream. I decided that it made the Soft Sky a little creamier by stamping it onto Whisper White and die cutting it instead of just simply die cutting Soft Sky cardstock. This turned out to be such a fun card – from the little lattice style embossing on the cone to using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to add a couple lines to the top and bottom of the 2 ¼” strip of Whisper White. Hunter suggested angling the Happy Birthday die and cone and I must say it turned out great! I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels for added sparkle and they are ready to be dropped in the mail!

A Little Old, A Little New & A Little Carry-Through

My club order arrived today and I always put a little thank you card in with each order. I thought it would be fun to make little 3” x 3” square cards and have a little old (Watermelon Wonder Cardstock & Ink, Tasty Treats Specialty DSP), a little new (Wood Words Stamp Set, Wood Crate Framelits), and a little carry-through (Whisper White Bakers Twine, Pear Pizzazz Ink). I crack myself up with my rhyme! These 6 adorable cards only took 20 minutes to make and I can’t stop smiling when I look at those stinkin’ cute little strawberries I added to the envelopes, too!

Cool Treats Party Time

Last Sunday, I showed you a super fun popsicle card. Here’s another super fun card using the Cool Treats suite on pages 32 & 33 of the new Occasions Catalog. This one uses the same general layout of the previous cards. It’s my go-to layout.  With last Sunday’s popsicle card, I used Wink of Stella on the darker portion of the popsicle. This time, Hunter wanted me to use it on the lighter part of the ice cream cone. It’s perfect! How can you not smile when you see this?

Sweet Popsicle Thread Wrapping Technique

I am absolutely in LOVE with the Cool Treats suite on pages 32 & 33 of the new Occasions Catalog – the ice cream colors are so happy and fun! Good enough to eat! The Wink of Stella puts the “pop” in “popsicle” and the Thread Wrapping Technique makes this card unique!
