Encircled in Specialty DSP

I participate in a monthly swap and decided I wanted to focus on using a variety of Specialty paper. This card uses 4 different ones along with a stamp set that is an Online Exclusive. I love all the textures!

Polished Roses

I am not a motorcycle enthusiast, so the Ready to Ride Suite on pages 69-70 of the mini catalog didn’t really catch my eye at first. After a bit, though, the Let it Ride Specialty Designer Series Paper did finally catch my eye as I hadn’t even realized roses were mixed in with the masculine designs. And for them to be matte on shiny black is so unique! So glad I bought this DSP! I chose Polished Pink as the highlight color. I embossed the sentiment with Black Embossing Powder on the Polished Pink. I cut a strip 1/2″ x 2 5/8″ and punched the end with the Happy Labels Pick a Punch. I also didn’t want to distract from the paper, so I kept the embellishment super simple – one 2021-2023 In Color Opal Round. To keep any white from seeping in, I opted to use the Black Dimensionals so you don’t see any white from the side angles. Note – because of the smoothness of this DSP, I recommend not using any liquid glue as you will be able to see the lines of it come through. I used Stampin’ Seal + and it stayed smooth. I am loving this card…so striking!

Friendly Turtle Thank You

I always make thank you cards for my customers and today I will be delivering orders to my club members. I decided to play “This or That” with Hunter, so we ended up with Playing in the Rain stamp set, Fun Fold, Pastels, and originally she’d picked ribbon, but I couldn’t figure out a good way to incorporate it, so I made the executive decision to change it up with the butterflies instead. Such a super cute card that can stand up and be seen! This bundle is part of the larger Rain or Shine Suite that also includes a rain embossing folder, the Specialty DSP I’ve used here, and Loose Daisy Embellishments. I’m saving those for a shaker card! You can see the entire suite at work with samples on pages 50-51 of the January – April 2023 mini catalog.
