Blushing Valentine

I wanted to give my Stampin’ Club members sweet little Valentine goodies to thank them for being in my club. I realized the sentiment “You’re the sweetest” from the Sale-a-Bration set Tasty Trucks was perfect! I kept it soft and sweet with the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper in the background. Hunter told me a great tip when it comes to using embellishments like the little pearls. She said that our eyes find it more visually appealing when things are in the shape of a triangle. So, when I added the pearls, I put them into a triangular layout…and I think she’s right!  It gives it a great balance.  I used punches for the sentiment and the tag top, framelits for the circle and thinlits for the hearts. Punching and die cutting makes everything easy and fun, the only thing left to do was to put a couple yummy cookies into cellophane bags and attach the tags!

Dragonfly Thoughts

Here’s an encore using the Dragonfly Dreams bundle and some lovely accessories.  This is a “Thinking of You” card that I’m sending to a long-distance friend. I hope it puts a smile on her face!

I die cut the intricate dragonfly die in blushing bride. Layered behind it is the dragonfly’s wings that are stamped in Sahara Sand. Then I used the “Rock n Roll” technique to roll the bottom of the stamp along the Soft Sky ink pad. Makes for a lovely, muted background behind the intricate one.

Falling for Dragonfly Dreams

I finally received my Stampin’ Up preorder with the Dragonfly Dreams bundle! Anyone that knows me knows I LOVE DRAGONFLIES!  In fact, that is the theme in my living room and I even have a framed display of 4 real ones (purchased prior to me becoming vegan, LOL). As you can guess, the second I saw there were dragonflies in the 2017 Occasions catalog, it was over! I also bought the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper. It’s marketed in the catalog with the wedding themed items, but it is soft and beautiful with the dragonflies. I have fallen in love with it!

I stamped the detailed dragonfly stamp in Versamark on Vellum cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. After die cutting it out, the wings curled up a LOT. So I decided to use the dragonfly framelit die to cut a matching one out to glue behind the vellum. The large dragonflies and the sentiment banners are popped up with dimensionals. This makes my heart happy!
